Bajool State School Behaviour Management Policy
Education Queensland is committed to working in partnership with students, parents and the wider community to ensure that students in Queensland receive a high-quality education. In response to concerns about student behaviour problems, school communities have been asked to establish and maintain a supportive school environment.
Bajool State School has responded by establishing a Behaviour Management Plan which will assist students, staff and parents in developing a Supportive School Environment
The use of such a plan will focus on a whole school approach with parent / community support. Problems will be handled where they occur in a positive and supportive manner. Such consistency should encourage a more positive learning atmosphere where students can develop as independent and knowledgeable people who are morally and socially responsible.
This Plan outlines the Rights and Responsibilities of all community members as well as consequences of Misbehaviour. It is intended that parents, students and teachers should be familiar with their Rights and Responsibilities to ensure a supportive, caring school environment.
AIMS of the BEHAVIOUR MANAGEMENT PLAN
To promote:
*responsibility for one’s own behaviour.
*a safe environment for all clients.
*respect of others, their rights and opinions.
*positive self esteem.
*self and school pride.
