Bajool State School is a small school situated 35km from Rockhampton. Every student at Bajool SS is 'Learning to Live and Living to Learn' through the implementation of a rich and inclusive curriculum across all learning areas, aligned to the Australian Curriculum. Explicit Instruction and Age-Appropriate Pedagogies are embedded to achieve positive educational outcomes for all students. At Bajool State School, students have access to learning support programs and enrichment opportunities to inspire them to become lifelong learners. Bajool State School has a swimming pool which is well utilized throughout the year with regular swimming lessons for all students, supported by a qualified Austswim teacher. Qualified coaches across various sports are regularly accessed through the Sporting Schools program. Bajool State School boasts a Harvest Garden and Multi Purpose court that are utilized and valued by staff, students, parents and the wider community. Bajool State School has multi-age classes, with high teacher/ student ratios that assist in realising the potential of every student. Parents work collaboratively through a supportive Parents and Citizens Association which aims to assist with educational opportunities. Bajool State School also supports a community playgroup and each year provides a Step Into Prep program to support positive and confident transitions into and through school. Our school chaplain supports the wellbeing, health, confidence and resilience of all students, staff and community members. Bajool State School actively builds community partnerships with a biannual camp focussing on environmental sustainability and student and staff wellbeing.
